SIDS (Sudden Infant Death Syndrome)
SIDS is the term that is used to describe the sudden and unexpected death of a baby. Newborn babies are the most vulnerable. The death of a baby is perhaps the most difficult tragedy a family could go through. Parents who have lost a child often say they never really “get over” the loss, but they do find ways to move through the pain and the grief.
There is no right or wrong way to grieve. It is a process that takes time. Grieving is painful, but by allowing yourself to experience the pain, finding help and support, and talking to other families who have been through similar experiences can reduce your feelings of powerlessness.
